Your 3 Best Super Powers!

Aloha from the Beautiful Island of Maui

This is a time in our world where people are feeling somewhat disempowered.  Fear not ~ the solution is at hand; and the beauty of it all is that the Super Powers necessary to not only survive, but actually thrive, are already within you!

The fabulous Sonia Choquette has just released her brand new book, Your 3 Best Super Powers: Meditation, Imagination and Intuition.  This book is powerful, timely, and has practical tips on activating your Super Powers now!

I was blessed to be on a call with Sonia on November 2nd, and her insights were wonderful.  Although she currently lives in Paris, she used to live in Chicago for many years; and is familiar with the nuances of American Politics.  She addressed the chaotic energy that the world was feeling in regard to the U.S. elections.

With the reverberating shock wave that ensues after November 8th, this book is the perfect antidote for those feeling fear, anger, frustration, disgust, confusion, chaos - or any other “negative” emotions.

It is literally a map to Self Empowerment.  The Super Powers Sonia refers to are all within us - and simply need to be cultivated.  It is a fabulous read, with wonderful exercises to get you rolling, and to embrace and embody your Power!

Click on over to Amazon and take a sneak peek.  This is a wonderful holiday gift to soothe the souls of our loved ones.  Enjoy Sonia's fabulous offering.

Happy Aloha Friday!

Happy Aloha Friday
from Beautiful Maui, Hawaii

Enjoy my YouTube about it made early this morning.

I love Maui ~ and I love the People of Maui and Hawaiian Traditions. One of my favorite traditions is Aloha Friday.

I honestly don't know how the Aloha Friday Tradition started, but am betting that it's the equivalent energetically of "the eagle flies on Friday" on the mainland. Friday represents the last day of the traditional work week, and so cause to celebrate.

I've been told that many Hawaiian companies often celebrate Aloha Friday afternoons with Bar-b-q, beverages and music for employees. Sweet! ...and soooo Hawaiian.

Hawaiians LOVE food (grinds is the Hawaiian term) and lots of it, music, "talking story" with one another; and a sense of Ohana (family in Hawaiian). Truly embodying the Aloha Spirit!

I'll also bet that "dress down" days on Fridays on the mainland were in part inspired by Aloha Friday. C'mon can't you just see the suit and tie guys in Hawaiian Shirts, inspired by a Hawaiian vacation?

Well, not being one to let any good reason to celebrate go by - I decided to create my own Aloha Friday Tradition. I'd gather things that I loved all week, and tuck them away in a closet.

Then on Thursday night it was like Christmas Eve ~ setting things up, even wrapping some items, and making sure that I PAID MYSELF in a beautiful envelope.

How cool...waking up Friday morning to a bunch of goodies! It can be addicting ~ I absolutely LOVE Aloha Friday. I encourage everyone reading this to take a piece of this to heart, and create some personal celebration to engage in. It's inspiring, fulfilling, and most of all FUN!

Go Facebook, Go Facebook, Go Facebook!...

Aloha from Maui

It's Christmas Eve in Hawaii, and I'm thinking of what a GREAT gift I received for Christmas this year...

I got to reconnect with friends and family ~ and Facebook was the link that made it all possible! Who knew?

Really though, I have literally been in awe of the social media phenomenon for the past week or so that I have been involved. It has tickled my mind a bit (in a good way).

...Thoughts like, "Is it virtual or is it reality?" Here's the kicker ~ "Is there a difference?" I just love those somersaults of thought!

There's still much to do for Christmas Day in Hawaii ~ so be sure to check back later today* for some awesome digital gifts to get you well positioned in 2010!
(*Aloha Time! ~ 2 behind Cally, 3 Mountain, 4 Central and 5 Eastern).

...Hats off to Facebook for the Blessed CyberWorld connections with loved ones!

Aloha & Mele Kalikimaka!

Aloha from the Beautiful Island of Maui

I am still getting used to palm trees for Christmas vs. the brutal cold of Chicago...

It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. This thought REALLY came back to me when I saw one of the Christmas cards I chose this year ~ and then remembered one from back in the day (which became Amber Lightfoot's psuedo-logo).

Check out this before and after!

Mele Kalikimaka means Merry Christmas
in Hawaiian.

Talk about a difference in perspective ~ WOW! From snow to slippahs (the Hawaiian name for flip-flops). Actually most of the time we are barefoot here which I love.

I have to admit that Maui is indeed my personal paradise! It is truly the most beautiful place that I have ever seen ~ and every day that I wake up here I know that I am blessed beyond measure.

It is strange to be sooooo remote though sometimes. I literally live in a valley, between 2 volcanoes, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. That gives a whole new understanding to the old saying, "No man is an island." And after a rather long (and unexpected hiatus), it feels good to be connecting with others via the web.

I have just begun this whole blog, social networking thing ~ but I gotta say that already I LOVE IT.

...this could actually be addicting. lol

I'd like to take this time to wish all who view this post
The Very Merriest Christmas & Best New Year EVER!

Sending you loads of Love and Gratitude...
